From ritual to remix.
L'Or Espresso Concentrate. Launch strategy and creative platform with GUT Madrid, 2026.

L'Or was the most premium coffee on the supermarket shelf. A golden universe, dreamlike, French formal luxury. But that language was far from the target the new launch needed to reach: Espresso Concentrate, a product designed for coffee cocktails, mixing, customization, breaking rules. Gen Z. And the challenge was not just reaching them with the new product. The launch had to double as the rejuvenation vehicle for the entire brand without betraying the drinkers already on board.
The case started with a four-layer analysis: what was happening to the category, to the culture, to the consumer, to the brand. The four shifts pointed in the same direction. The category was no longer about mastering coffee, it was about designing it. Culture moved from intimate ritual to coffee as social currency. The consumer was not buying a functional drink, they were buying self-expression. And French luxury let go of formality to embrace a more joyful pleasure.
The four converged on the same insight: for this generation, coffee is not drunk, it is signed. It is not what you drink, it is how you say who you are. 75% of Gen Z customizes their drinks. Black coffee bores them. They mix matcha with marshmallows, serve espressos with pink foam, turn every cup into an aesthetic statement.
From there emerged the strategic north: Espresso to express yourself. And with it, the real audience. This was not a campaign for coffee purists. This was for the ones who break the rules, who add ice, sugar, cream and any abomination they can dream up. We called them by their name: For Coffee Sinners.
The strategic tension was holding the luxury without turning it hostile to L'Or's traditional drinkers. The brand could provoke in the new product, but as an umbrella it stayed aspirational for everyone. The Concentrate became the rejuvenation vehicle, without burning bridges with the existing audience.
The creative platform launched with For Coffee Sinners as its signature. The first film, 'Espresso Yourself', opened the world: coffee as personal signature, as lifestyle accessory, as the way to say who you are before you even speak. L'Or entered a new territory without losing its own. It rejuvenated itself from within.
